Welcome to our Crossing Guards:

From Diane VanAken, the chair of our safety committee. Somerville is very lucky to have three terrific crossing guards to help us get safely to and from school. They are...

Tom Z. is the crossing guard on the corner of E. Ridgewood Avenue and South Pleasant. Tom lives in Garfield and has been a crossing guard for 12 years. In his free time, Tom is an avid tennis player, work out enthusiast and sports fan.

Kathy P. is the crossing guard on the corner of Spring Avenue and South Pleasant. Kathy lives in Fairlawn and has been a crossing guard for 3 years. Kathy likes to spend her free time with her two little dogs and working out at the gym.

Jim S. is the crossing guard in front of Somerville School. Jim lives in Ridgewood with his family and has been a crossing guard for 6 months. He loves the Yankees, Giants and Nascar. Jim is originally from Chincoteague, Virginia and is a U.S. Army Veteran.

Please take the time to say “Hi” and to thank our crossing guards for the wonderful job they do each day.

REGENT'S CLEANERS SAVERS PROGRAM
INTERESTING FACTS:

1.  We have earned $790 so far this year for the HSA just for getting our clothes dry cleaned!
2.    You get an additional 10% bonus for the amount of credit you buy
3.   The HSA gets 20% of the total dollar amount purchased by you from Regent's.
4.  The Cleaner is Organic
5.  The prices can't be beat:  $1.50 for a man's shirt, $5.50 for a man's suit or jacket, $11 for a woman's dress

HOW IT WORKS:

Buy credit from the HSA (in any amount) to be applied against your dry cleaning charges at Regent Cleaners (45 Broad street).

Regent Cleaners will donate 20% of the total dollar amount purchased to the HSA.  In addition, they will add a 10% bonus for every customer on the amount purchased.  For example, if you purchase $100, you pay the HSA $100, but receive a $110 credit at Regent Cleaners. The HSA then will earn $20.  You can purchase any amount from the HSA.  It does not have to be $100.
You can drop off your dry cleaning (free parking available), call for pick-up or have a regularly scheduled pick-up.  Pick-up and delivery is free.  Plus, Regent Cleaners is an organic cleaner.

Support Somerville by writing a check out to Somerville HSA with Regent Cleaners in the memo.  As soon as your check is submitted you can start earning for yourself and Somerville.

If you have any questions, please call Whitney Klein at 201-444-4290 or email whitneyaklein@yahoo.com.
